Participants will dive into the mathematics that are taught in the primary grades. We will spend time exploring the progression of the math standards, math strategies, story problem types, and useful tools for teaching mathematics. We will study the mathematics teaching practices with a focus on Using and Connecting Mathematical Representations and Building Procedural Fluency from Conceptual Understanding. Mathematical language routines will also be explored.
