LO - Iowa CCR Academy 401: Planning and the District''s Role in Creating a Student-Centered Career and Academic Plan

Specifically for Iowa’s district staff and leaders to deepen their knowledge and skills to facilitate student’s
ICAP planning and the part it plays in creating college and career-ready graduates.
Pre-requisite Course: Iowa CCR Academy 101: Foundations of College and Career Readiness In Iowa
District staff and leaders play many roles with many responsibilities in Iowa’s Pre K-12 educational world.
One of the major roles they play is to facilitate student’s journeys along their path to becoming College,
Career and Academic-Ready for life after high school graduation. This course is designed to deepen
district staff and leaders’ practices in engage and support students and families in academic and postsecondary
planning by utilizing data to address equity, to guide academic planning and to help students and families find a ‘good fit’ in their post-secondary choices. Iowa’s ICAP (Individual Career and Academic
Plan) is the district plan that ensures all students are involved.

This course is offered in partnership with Iowa AEA Learning and Iowa College Aid and is part of the Iowa College and Career Readiness Academy.
