Welcome to Physical Science for Elementary teachers. In this course we will focus on 3 things:
1. The elements of "best practice" for Science instruction
2. Increasing or enhancing general physical science knowledge
3. Developing quality learning experiences aligned to the Iowa Science Standards
The general format will include an "experience" involving some Physical Science phenomena. A
discussion around that phenomena through a forum. Examining your personal understanding of
the various Physical Science core ideas and then building quality learning experiences for your
specific situation or grade level aligned to the Iowa Science standards.
